What Is Nantasket Beach Reservation?

Nantasket Beach Reservation is a state-run ocean beach in Hull, MA, with about a mile of Atlantic shoreline. It's open dawn to dusk, and parking costs $15 for Massachusetts plates or $40 for out-of-state plates from May 23 through September 7.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) runs it as a popular summer escape from Boston. Beyond the swimming, there are summer concerts and public dance lessons. At high tide the south end of the beach is often covered in cobblestones; the north end has fewer stones and easier access.
